Metal Gear

Metal Gear: Ghost Babel is an action-adventure game developed and published by Konami for the Game Boy Color in 2000. Played from a top-down perspective, players control legendary operative Solid Snake as he infiltrates enemy facilities to rescue kidnapped scientists and destroy the world-threatening weapon Metal Gear GANDER. The game preserves the franchise's emphasis on stealth and strategy, requiring players to evade enemy sight lines, use the environment to their advantage, gather intel, and engage only when necessary. A variety of weapons and gadgets are available for different combat situations. Ghost Babel tells an entirely original story separate from the main series continuity, and it takes full advantage of the Game Boy Color hardware to deliver detailed visuals and tense atmosphere. On release it was praised by players and critics alike as one of the best games on the system, with its smart design and engaging story securing it a unique place in the Metal Gear saga.
