Über das Spiel
Takahashi Meijin no Bouken Jima II is a side-scrolling platformer originally developed by Hudson Soft for the Famicom in 1991 and ported to the Game Boy in 1992. Building on the original's classic formula, it introduces new elements and refinements. Players guide Master Takahashi across eight themed islands—including forests, undersea caverns, snowy peaks, and volcanoes—each with unique level designs and enemies. Four rideable dinosaur companions join the adventure: a red dinosaur that swims in lava and breathes fire, a blue dinosaur suited for icy terrain, a flying dinosaur that hurls rocks, and a water dinosaur capable of moving freely across land and water. An item storage feature lets players select weapons and dinosaur companions before each stage, adding a strategic layer. While the Famicom version randomizes the number and order of stages per island, the GB version uses a fixed layout. The story follows Master Takahashi as he sets out to rescue his girlfriend Tina, who has been kidnapped by an evil invader, with each island guarded by a boss standing between him and the restoration of Adventure Island's peace.
