"Nekketsu Kōkō: Dodgeball Bu - Soccer Hen" is a side-scrolling action game developed by Technōs Japan and released for the Game Boy on December 7, 1990, marking the Nekketsu series' debut on a handheld platform. In Western markets, the game was adapted as a sequel to the Double Dragon series and released under the name "Double Dragon II" in December 1991, with changes to graphics, music, and story. The protagonist is Kunio, the "bancho" of Nekketsu High School—a justice-minded delinquent with exceptional athletic and fighting skills who loves sticking up for his friends. In this game, players control Kunio as he takes on rival gangs using a variety of brawling techniques, including punches, flying kicks, and back throws, delivering the thrilling street-fighting experience the series is known for. As the first handheld entry in the Nekketsu franchise, it carries on the series' signature humor and rich action, beloved by fans.
