Tomb Raider: The Curse of the Sword is an action-adventure game developed by Core Design and published by Eidos Interactive, released in 2001 for the Game Boy Color. Players take on the role of the famous archaeologist and adventurer Lara Croft in a challenging quest to uncover the mystery of the cursed sword. The game uses a 2D side-scrolling perspective, blending platforming, combat, and puzzle-solving that tests players' reflexes and wits. Despite the hardware limitations of the Game Boy Color, the graphics and sound faithfully capture the series' classic atmosphere as Lara explores diverse environments including city streets, underground crypts, and mysterious ruins. With its tense gameplay and engaging story, Tomb Raider: The Curse of the Sword stands as one of the most beloved titles on the Game Boy Color, appealing to both longtime fans of the franchise and newcomers to action-adventure games.
