"Pokémon Green" is a role-playing game developed by Game Freak and published by Nintendo, first released in Japan for the Game Boy in 1996. As one of the original entries in the Pokémon series, the game is set in the Kanto region, where players take on the role of a new Trainer seeking to catch, train, and collect 151 different Pokémon, challenge Gym Leaders, and ultimately become the Pokémon Champion. Battles are turn-based, requiring players to strategically select their Pokémon and moves to defeat opponents. By connecting and trading with other players, players can complete the Pokédex. The game's success laid the foundation for Pokémon's worldwide influence, making it one of the best-selling franchises in video game history.
