Ace of Aces
Atari 7800
The Atari 7800 ProSystem is a home video game console developed by Atari Corporation between 1983-1984, making history as the first video game console designed with full backward compatibility, capable of running almost all Atari 2600 cartridges. Originally announced on May 21, 1984, with a major market push planned for June 1984, the launch was dramatically delayed following the sale of Atari Inc. to Tramel Technology Ltd. on July 2, 1984, resulting in nearly a two-year delay before nationwide launch in May 1986 at $79.95.
