The Legend of Zelda: Oracle of Seasons is an action-adventure game published by Nintendo for the Game Boy Color in 2001, released in Japan as ゼルダの伝説 ふしぎの木の実 大地の章. Players take on the role of Link, summoned to the land of Holodrum to rescue the kidnapped seasonal spirit Din. Link wields the Rod of Seasons to alter the environment and solve puzzles, explore dungeons, and defeat enemies. The game's standout feature is how seasons transform the world around Link: lakes freeze in winter so he can walk across them, while vines grow thick in summer so he can climb to new heights. Oracle of Seasons links with Oracle of Ages through a password system, allowing players to transfer data between the two titles to unlock extra content and hidden storylines.
