The Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening is an action-adventure game developed and published by Nintendo for the Game Boy in 1993, and the fourth installment in The Legend of Zelda series. Set on the mysterious Koholint Island, the story follows Link after he is shipwrecked and must collect the eight Instruments of the Wind Fish in order to awaken it and escape. Beloved for its rich story and unique setting, the original game was followed by the 1998 Game Boy Color release Link's Awakening DX, which added new dungeons and a photo feature. In 2019, Nintendo published a full remake for the Nintendo Switch featuring charming clay-style 3D visuals and a built-in dungeon editor.
