Metal Gear: Ghost Babel, known in Japanese as メタルギア ゴーストバabel, is a stealth-action game developed by Konami and released in 2000 for the Game Boy Color. The story stands apart from the main series continuity, following Solid Snake as he infiltrates a base to rescue scientists and destroy the world-threatening weapon Metal Gear GANDER. Drawing on the gameplay of the MSX2 title Metal Gear 2: Solid Snake and the PlayStation classic Metal Gear Solid, the game uses a 2D top-down perspective while retaining series hallmarks like the Codec communication system and VR training missions. Both single-player and two-player co-op modes are supported, expanding replay value.
