Dragon Quest III

Dragon Quest III is an RPG developed and published by Enix (now Square Enix), originally released in 1988 in Japan for the Famicom. The third entry in the Dragon Quest series, it was later ported to multiple platforms, including the Super Famicom in 1996 and the Game Boy Color in 2000. Players take on the role of a young hero who inherits his late father's dream and sets out to defeat the archfiend Baramos. Combat uses the traditional turn-based system, and players can recruit companions to form a party of up to four. The GBC version retains the original content while adding new classes, dungeons, and quests, alongside upgraded graphics and sound for a richer experience. With a tightly paced story, deep characters, and strategically demanding battles, the game remains a beloved classic. As a landmark RPG, Dragon Quest III boasts a huge global following and an influence that endures to this day.
