The Lord of the Rings: The Third Age

The Lord of the Rings: The Third Age is a role-playing game developed by EA Games and released in 2004, based on Peter Jackson's film trilogy. It uses a turn-based combat system similar to Final Fantasy X's Conditional Turn-Based system. Players take the role of new Middle-earth characters, assembling a party of humans, elves and dwarves as they journey through iconic locations like the Mines of Moria, the Rohan Gap and Helm's Deep, intersecting with key events from the films. With celebrity likenesses, real voice acting and Howard Shore's iconic music, the game faithfully recreates the cinematic feel of Middle-earth.
