Animal Crossing
Animal Crossing is Nintendo's life-sim series in which the player moves to an animal-inhabited village or island and lives out the everyday. The game has almost no explicit goal: the console's real-time clock and changing seasons pace each day, spent fishing, catching insects, digging fossils, tending flowers and trees, collecting furniture and clothing, helping neighbours and joining seasonal events. The character's appearance, the home and the layout of the village or island are customisable down to the detail, while paying off the mortgage unlocks new facilities — the hallmark of an open daily loop.
